According to a statement issued in Abuja yesterday by the Army spokesman, Col. Sani Usman, said the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Yusuf Buratai, has commended the troops for their gallantry and determination to see to the presidential mandate.
Usman said the advancing troops on Tuesday made a progress and cleared two terrorists’ camps at Jangurori and Bulatori villages, rescued the hitherto vulnerable women and children captured by the insurgents and arrested 42 members of the group and one of their commanders, Mohammed Bulama Modu, who made useful confessions and led the troops to where he had hidden his arms somewhere in the village.
“The troops have also arrested 43 suspected Boko Haram terrorists, including one of the Boko Haram kingpins in the area, Bulama Modu, who is an ‘Amir’ of Bulakuri. The troops also rescued 241 women and children during the operation.” The statement read.
