Jose Mourinho Speaks: I will block Cech move to a rival if I could.

Having been a chelsea player and number goal keeper for the best part of eleven years, chelsea goal keeper and former number one, Petr Cech has been made a second choice following the arrival of Thibaut Coutois who came back from Atletico Madrid where he had spent three succesful years on loan.



In those years, Cotouirs had won the La liga, and help A.Madrid get into the final of the Uefa Champions League, seeing off Chelsea in that process, though they lost to madrid, many claimed their inexperience in the competition played a vital role.



It wasn't the fact that Thibaut Courtois and Athletico Madrid reached the UCL final that made Chelsea call him back. But the inpressive perfomances he put on display over the course of that three years, made chelsea reconsider their stance on the player, and decided to recall him, a decision that is also paying off.



Though Mourinho still wants Cech to stay, he knows he can only do little or nothing to keep two players who are regarded amongst the world best three goal keepers happy together with one playing a bit partrole to the other.



When asked about the situation, Mourinho said: "One thing is José Mourinho and another is Mr Abramovich, and another thing is the board, because the board is a little bit of me and a little bit of other people,"



"If it was my decision, the decision is Petr to stay. Even against his will? Yes.



"The club is more important than the

player and the club needs two very good

goalkeepers. Without Petr this season I don't think the club would be champions.

So for me, decision No 1 is that Petr will stay.



"After that, second point is for him to go,

but not in England. The option I don't want

is for him to go to an English club.



"But I am just the manager and he means

so much for this club and what he did in

this club I think he deserves everything. So if the club decision is different to mine I will accept it."
