Petrol Tanker Explodes in Kebbi. Five people killed, with six injured.

A petrol tanker heading for Mahuta in Kebbi state, on Saturday 27 June 2015, tumbled and exploded at Dabi in Kebbi state, killing five(5) and injuring six(6) persons in the process.



The petrol tanker driver was said to have lost control of the Vehicle, at the hilly Dabai junction, which resulted in the vehicle falling over and subsequently exploding.



As a result of the inferno from the tanker's explosion, twelve(12) houses, and some vehicles parked by the road side, where destroyed.



Amongst early group of people who arrived the scene of the accident, was the Deputy Governor of Kebbi state Alhaji Samaila Yombe who is also an indigene of Dabai community.



The state Deputy Governor Alhaji Samaila Yombe, pledged to pay all the medical bills of all those hospitalized as a result of the accident.



The Governor who sympathize with relatives of those Involved in the accident,the Emir of Zuru, Alhaji Sani Sami, the Chairman of Zuru Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim

Rumu, has ordered the state Emergency Management Agencies, to provide relieve materials to those who as a result of the inferno from the petrol tanker, lost Shops, livestocks, household properties, foods and crops with immediate effect.
