West Brom 3 vs Chelsea 0 Epl champions surfer first defeat in 19 games against resilient Baggies

The English premier league champions elect Chelsea, was stunned by a resilient Westbrom side yesterday.



Chelsea who came into the encounter having secured the EPL title, was tipped by many to crush the Mid table side. But the reverse was the case. As West Brom stunned many by defeating ten men chelsea.



The blues had started pretty well maintaining possesion till the 9 minute when Saido Berahino curled a beautifull shot into the bottom left corner of the post.



Few minutes later, Diego Costa who was playing his first competitive match for about two months, was involved in an off the ball tussle with a West Brom defender.



The refree Mike Jones choosed to award a yellow card to Diego Costa. After much time wasted, by the chelsea players trying to persuade the refree, Fabregas played the ball into the crowded area. And unfortunately, the ball hit a west brom player. And the refree decided to award the chelsea midfielder a straight red card.



West brom, added their second and third goal in the second halve.
